Reiki
Reiki pronounced (“ray – key”) comes
from the Japanese “Rei” meaning Universal and “ Ki” life energy that
is a form of natural healing, discovered by Dr. Mikao Usui in the
early 1900’s.
Reiki empowers, heals and has the ability to bring balance and harmony back into everyday lives. Reiki works on many levels: -Physical – Mental- Emotional - Spiritual. The purpose of Reiki is to supply the body with additional energy, which it can use for healing itself. After a treatment people often feel refreshed, energised, relaxed and more at peace with themselves. It also allows the detoxification process to begin. Reiki will not interfere with other treatments and can complement conventional and natural therapies. Reiki practitioners do not diagnose, prescribe or give medical advice. Reiki is not a substitute for medical treatments or drugs, but can enhance their effectiveness. Reiki is also suitable for combination with other complementary therapies. Reiki Treatment This is a very simple process. The receiver lies on a couch or sits on a chair and relaxes. It is not necessary to remove any clothing although loose clothing and the removal of jewellery is recommended for your comfort. The therapist
gently lays their hands on the body in a sequence of positions
directing the energy into the body of the receiver. Reiki instantly
flows into the receiver with each treatment. What can Reiki do for you?
There are three levels (degrees) of study in traditional Reiki.
